Durga Saptashati tells about the victory of Goddess Durga

The Durga Saptashati is otherwise called as the Devi Mahatmya, and the Chandi Path is one of the Hindu religious text that describes the victory of the goddess Durga over the demon of the  Mahishasura as well as this is also the part of the Markandeya Purana that is written by the sake of Markandeya.  This text usually contains 700 verses that are arranged into 13 chapters.

This Durga Saptashati is an ancient culture of the mythology, and it always highlights the heroics of the mother goddess Durga that is being extensively discussed in all the traditional Indian culture and the secretive meditation process will be encrypted in the spiritual code of all the ages.

People read the Saptashati in the early morning after taking the bath and finish the one day worship for the daily rituals. Navaratri is the ideal period of the Durga Saptashati. Therefore, in the other months, Tuesday, Friday along with the Saturday are considered as the auspicious day for reading the Durga Saptashati. This Durga Saptashati will be read in the seven days in the following ways of the division of chapters.

From the day one, we started reading the first chapter, the second day, to read the second and the third chapter, the third day we have begun reading the fourth chapter, the fourth day started reading the fifth, sixth, seventh and the eighth chapter. The day five, ninth and the tenth chapter, the day six, eleventh chapter. Therefore, the last seventh day completed the twelfth and the thirteenth chapter according to the rule.
